Managing Partners

Wally Dant, Managing Partner

Mr. Dant is Managing Partner of Harpeth Consulting, LLC. Mr. Dant focuses on strategic business planning and development, acquisition strategies, managed care strategy and contracting, revenue cycle operations, homecare operations, regulatory compliance and human resource management.

His 19 years of experience span a variety of providers and payers, including large hospital systems, homecare and hospice agencies and commercial payers. He has assisted such organizations with strategic revenue enhancement, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, operations analysis and assessment, financial exposure analysis and compensation and benefit plan redesign. Prior to Harpeth Consulting, Mr. Dant formed a highly successful home health company. Additionally, he held the positions of director for Navigant Consulting and assistant vice president of managed care and senior vice president of homecare for Hospital Corporation of America.

Mr. Dant's clients have included HCA (Hospital Corporation of America), Community Health Systems, Nashville Metro General Hospital, Erlanger Health System, Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's Healthcare, Arcadian Healthcare, Bridger Capital, Champlain Capital, Summit Investment Management, American Union Insurance Company and Sidley Austin LLP among many others.

Joseph Keane, Partner

Mr. Keane is a Partner at Harpeth Consulting, LLC specializing in healthcare and insurance advisory services. Mr. Keane specializes in the management and restructuring of distressed companies, with a particular focus in the healthcare and insurance industries. Mr. Keane has more than 18 years of healthcare experience ranging from business process improvement, revenue cycle and managed care contracting to compliance, strategy and change management. Mr. Keane's background includes more than 10 years of extensive experience in receivership and the restructuring of distressed insurance companies, HMOs and workers' compensation carriers.

Mr. Keane has an extensive background in provider and payer operations and has worked with for-profit, not-for-profit and government healthcare organizations of all sizes and complexity. He also has extensive experience in other government and healthcare industry settings, including the Tennessee Department of Health, the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury - Division of State Audit, and in the long-term care industry.

Mr. Keane is currently serving as the Special Deputy Liquidator for receiverships of several distressed insurance entities. As the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Castle Dental Corporation (CASL.OB) from January 2002 to May, 2004, Mr. Keane was instrumental in the successful restructuring and turnaround of the publicly traded company. During 2000 and 2001, Mr. Keane was Chief Financial Officer of Galaxy.com, LLC, a vertical internet directory owned by a subsidiary of Fox Entertainment Group and private investors. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Keane held the position of Deputy Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Insurance and also worked as the Director of Internal Audit and Consulting for the Finance Department of the State of Tennessee. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Keane worked as an executive for Columbia/HCA involved in government relations, mergers and acquisitions.

Max Theodore, Partner

Mr. Theodore is a Partner at Harpeth Consulting, LLC. Mr. Theodore is a senior executive with more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and healthcare industries. Mr. Theodore focuses on finance, accounting, strategic planning, acquisitions, management and managed care contracting and regulatory compliance. He has an extensive background in provider and payer operations and has worked with many for-profit, not-for-profit and government entities.

Mr. Theodore's wide range of executive experience includes assisting the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance in the supervision of financially troubled Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). This includes administering the overall operation of troubled MCOs with a particular focus on accounting, claims administration and litigation organization. Additionally, Mr. Theodore has served in a number of executive positions including Vice President of Florida Operations for Princeton Medical Management Resources. At Princeton, Mr. Theodore led due diligence activity and the negotiation of all acquisitions. This included establishing the physician practice management company presence in Florida with 12 physician groups and eight clinics, all of which were profitable within the first year of existence.

In addition, Mr. Theodore founded and served as President of University Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in Tampa, Florida. This was a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation service that was profitable within three months of operation. Mr. Theodore secured certification as a Medicare Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (C.O.R.F.) and negotiated contracts with Blue Cross, Aetna, Av-Med and Humana Health Care.

Patrick Spoletini, Partner

Mr. Spoletini is a Partner at Harpeth Consulting, LLC specializing in healthcare advisory services. Mr. Spoletini has an extensive background in provider and payer operations and has worked with for-profit, not-for-profit and government healthcare organizations of all sizes and complexity. Mr. Spoletini's experience working in the healthcare industry prior to beginning his consulting career means that he brings first-hand knowledge to his client engagements. Mr. Spoletini's clients have ranged from physician group practices to some of the nation's largest healthcare systems. Mr. Spoletini's background in provider and payer operations includes leading, managing and/or providing subject matter expertise on a variety of projects including strategy, claims backlog reduction, business process redesign, compliance, staff training and education, managed care contracting and the implementation of new business processes and technology.

McArthur VanOsdale, Partner

Mr. VanOsdale is a Partner at Harpeth Consulting specializing in healthcare advisory services. Mr. VanOsdale has both an industry and consulting background with expertise that ranges from business process improvement, revenue cycle management and systems integration, to strategic growth and litigation support. He has an extensive background in provider and payer operations and has worked with for-profit, not-for-profit and government healthcare organizations of varying sizes and complexity. His clients have included large health insurers, academic medical centers and some of the nation's largest healthcare provider systems. Mr. VanOsdale's background in provider and payer operations includes leading, managing and/or providing subject matter expertise on a variety of projects including strategy, business process redesign, technology systems integration and litigation support.

Prior to joining Harpeth, Mr. VanOsdale worked at Navigant Consulting and AIM Healthcare. Mr. VanOsdale led and managed the overall business development and consulting strategy for AIM's technology solution focused on errant claim resolution. Mr. VanOsdale grew AIM's technology solution from zero clients to over 1,000 hospital and health insurance clients. His consulting efforts with Navigant and AIM resulted in increased business process efficiency and a significant impact to each client's bottom line.

Mr. VanOsdale's clients have included some of nation's largest healthcare payers and providers including HCA, Universal Health Services, Adventist Health System, M.D. Anderson, University of Pennsylvania Healthcare, Advocate Health Care, Health Net, BCBS of FL, Anthem BCBS, Great West (Cigna) and United Health Care.
